Andhra Pradesh: A tragic accident occurred on Friday morning in the Alluri Sitarama Raju (ASR) district of Andhra Pradesh. A bus running on the Ghat Road between Chinturu and Bhadrachalam suddenly fell into a deep gorge. 9 people died, and many passengers were injured in this accident.
This bus, which came on the road in the morning, was moving normally towards its destination, but at one turn the driver could not control the bus. The accident happened so suddenly that the passengers did not even get a chance to save themselves.
ASR District Collector Dinesh Kumar said that the injured were immediately taken to Bhadrachalam Hospital. Doctors have described the condition of some people as very serious. In the hospital, family members were seen anxiously gathering information about their relatives. Many people were sitting outside crying and holding on only to hope.
As soon as information about the incident was received, the police and administration team reached the spot. The rescue team descended into the ditch and pulled out the injured. Officials are trying to find out how this accident happened. At present it is being said that the accident may have occurred due to an uncontrolled vehicle or poor road condition, but the exact reason will be clear only after investigation.
A day before this, a major accident had also taken place in the Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh. 22 people from the Tinsukia district of Assam were traveling in a mini truck, which fell into a ditch on the Hyuliang-Chaglagam road. It is feared that 21 people will be killed.
These two accidents, which happened within two days, have left people in deep shock. The administration has appealed to the passengers and drivers to be careful on the hilly roads.
At present the atmosphere in the ASR district is sad, and people are expressing condolences to the families of those killed in the accident. The injured are expected to recover soon.
